Strontianite (M271)
Usually Strontianite is a not very eye-catching mineral - dull, small, grey. Oberdorf set new standards for Strontianite and produced the very best specimen world-wide. I know the locality very well and saw the probably best pieces ever found there - and it is years ago, that I saw such a fine one like this! Most pieces are clusters, but here we have 30 mm tall spherical aggregate of light pink-yellow sharp terminated crystals wth partly glossy faces. It perches on the typical dolomite matrix and looks great in various positions. No significant damages to report.
