Galena on Quartz (M319)
Horhausen is on old labels the somewhat imprecise name for several mines in an area of about 2-3km. But I would rather attribute the Galena to the Georg Mine in the same county. But I'm too little expert on the area of discovery to be able to say that for sure.
The Galena crystals are very nicely formed sharp-edged, with high-gloss surfaces and undamaged. They form exposed groups and sit on small, high-gloss quartz crystals. The condition of the stage is excellent!
If my guess regarding the site is correct, this piece is also quite old - the mine was closed in 1965.
