Alexandrite (M374)
The exposed main crystal is 26mm across. It is developed as "butterfly-twin" with very glossy faces and attractive texture. It shows the deep green color already under daylight and not only with backlight, so color and translucency are out-standing for the locality. The color-changing effect is significant - I took one photo with only minor artificial light on the upper corner and it appears in intense red-purple color. The crystal is also complete at the back-side and the contrast with almost black matrix gives a lot of eye-catching contrast to this amazing specimen.
