Proustite (M181)
This famous locality is also known by it´s German name: Joachimstal. The mining history goes back at least 500 years. It is located in ore mountains, close to the German border. It is the type locality of proustite - which is very rare and hard to obtain from the locality. The particular specimen is developed as floater and consists of numerous inter-grown crystals. They all show very high luster and very good translucency. No matter in which angle the light goes through the specimen it shows this superb, intense red color. Minor matrix is also inter-grown in a small area. No significant damages to report.
