DESCRIPTION
This is "Gryphaea Cymbium" - a genus of extinct oysters, marine bivalve mollusks in the family Gryphaeidae. The specimen is from Lias Gamma (in Early/Upper Jurassic age). Lias Gamma is the aequivalent for Pliensbachium, so the piece is around 189,6 to 183 million of years old. There are 9 complete pyritized shells on the matrix, all exposed and in fine condition. An excellent piece for the locality and the species.
