Wulfenite, Calcite, Plattnerite (742)

Ahmad Abad mine, Yazd prov., Iran

6,5 x 5 x 4,5 cm

This is a very attractive specimen that was found in 2014, I obtained it from a local dealer. It consists of large Wulfenite-crystals up to 2,3 cm lenght. They show a nice yellow to orange color and are partly overgrwon by microcrystallized Calcite. The grey color you can find on the Calcite is Plattnerite that gives the specimen a little more contrast and attraction. On some of the smaller Wulfenite you can find tiny Vanadinite. This is a very interesting paragenesis at a very well diplayable specimen. It is free standing and crystallized all around.
