Tetrahedrite, Pyrite, Quartz (735)
LocationCavnic, Maramures, Romania
Size10 x 9,5 x 6,5 cm
|I have seen some Tetrahedrite during the past years, but this is one level above what I've seen before.
The specimen consists mainly of Pyrite that is delveloped as bright and lustrouse crystals up to 3,3 cm size. The Pyrite shows excellent luster and sharp termination. On the Pyrite you can ind beautiful Tetrahedrite with a max. size of 3 cm! I've seen only a few in this size but not with this quality at the same time. The Tetrahedrite is extremly lustrouse and shows an interesting structured surface as seen on the photos. The termination is almost excellent. The fron shows some smaller Quartz-crystals as well and some double-terminated ones at the side and the specimens backside.
According to the size it seems like the specimen was extracted very carefully as the display-side and the sides are in very good condition, I would say 99% perfect.
