Siderite, Calcite, Quartz (962)

Dalnegorsk, Far Eastern Region, Russia

7,5 x 4,5 x 4 cm

That is something special, very special. Two hollow balls of siderite conntected with small openings at every ball to spot in. The specimen is developed as a perfect floater and shows some small calcite at the surface and inside the balls. The specimen is from a limited find more than 10 years ago. Since that time no new material like this was found. In my mind it's a real eyecatcher.
