Morganite (846)

Vodorazhdelnoye, Menza District, Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

8,3 x 6,6 x 2,8 cm

This gemmy, lustrous floater shows amazing texture, caused by etching. All tiny faces are highly lustrous and sharp terminated. Although the specimen is etched you still can see the habit of Morganite very well. The color is a very attractive pink, in the center the specimen is getting lighter and shows a touch of Aquamarine blue! Already color, texture and the Aquamarine tones in the center are really remarkable - but the most important indicator is the locality. This is NOT Brazil or Pakistan; it came from Russia! Very rare and exceptional locality for Morganite. The specimen looks great in each position 360°, no significant damages to report.
