Mihalkovo, Rhodope mountains, Bulgaria

9 x 7 x 6 cm

general information about the locality: click here

This is one only significant specimen that show 2 generations of Fluorite. The older gerneration is the typical greenish-yellow Fluorite crystallized as octahedrons with a max. crystalsize of 1,2 cm. The crystals are damage-free, some of them are covered by a layer of tiny Quartz-crystals. The special thing is the 2nd generation: these crystals don't have a real color and they're crystallized cubic. This combination seems to be rare as it is the only specimen I found. The item is in very good condition.
