Fluorite (144)

Hilton Mine, Cumbria, United Kingdom

6,6 x 5,6 x 3,9 cm

The main crystal at the top is 14mm on edges. Some faces are etched but still glossy. Other faces are completely lustrous. The assemble is superb and the colour is really best, even for this famouse locality. Many crystals show a sharp, blue phantom - I tried to show it on a detail-photo. The main crystal shows a stress crack on the lower backside, but the front display is undamaged. Colour and assemble make this specimen very special and it will be a fine addition to each Fluorite-collection.
